Hi Reader, One of my favorite moments in client work is when we realize we've been trying to solve the wrong problem. That happened recently with a client who owns a college admissions consulting business. She came to me because she wanted to create a thought leadership brand alongside her business—something that would speak more directly to parents and support them through the college application process. It seemed straightforward enough. The longer we talked, the more I realized we weren't creating something new. We were uncovering something that had been there all along. On paper, she's a college admissions advisor. That's certainly what she does. But it isn't the whole story. Parents don't remember her because she understands application deadlines or financial aid forms. They remember how they felt after talking with her. Less overwhelmed. More confident. Better equipped to make decisions during one of the more stressful seasons of family life. That's when I realized we weren't building a thought leadership brand. We were uncovering a wisdom brand. The college admissions process wasn't the destination. It was simply the lens through which she shared something much bigger. Her expertise got parents in the door. Her wisdom is what they'll remember long after the acceptance letters arrive. I've come to think that's what clarity does. It rarely hands you a brilliant new idea. More often than not, it reveals the one that's been quietly sitting in front of you all along. If you'd like to explore those kinds of questions on your own, the Voice Clarity Workbook is a great place to begin. If you'd like a little more context about how I approach this work, you'll find an overview on my Make It Easy to Refer You page. And if you're wondering whether there's a bigger story hiding inside your own business, hit reply or book a Clarity Call. I'd love to help you uncover it. Best, |

Hi Reader, One of my favorite expressions is this: You can't read the label when you live inside the bottle. It's why writing your own website is so difficult. It's also why AI can only take you so far. Neither one can solve the biggest challenge: proximity. When you've spent years building a business, it's hard to tell the difference between what everybody knows and what only you know. The assumptions become invisible. The language feels obvious. The stories you've told a hundred times no...
Hi Reader, Most people who reach out to me think they have a writing problem. Their website doesn't sound like them anymore. Their LinkedIn profile feels dated. They keep rewriting the same paragraph, convinced the next version will finally be the one that clicks. Sometimes they're right. More often, the website is the symptom. It's revealing that the business has changed, and the language hasn't caught up yet. That's why I almost never start by talking about copy. I'm much more interested in...
Hi Reader, This is the final email I'll send about the Judi 411 Summer Copy Consult Package. Tomorrow is July 31, and I'll be closing the offer. Over the past few weeks, I've had a number of conversations with people about the writing projects they've been carrying around longer than they'd like. Most of these projects aren't stuck because they lack importance. They're stuck because client work takes priority, deadlines shift, and new opportunities demand attention. Before you know it,...
