SEO Helps You Get Found—But It Won’t Seal the Deal

Hi Reader, my fellow inmate,

A question I hear all the time when writing website copy and blogs is: "How much do you focus on SEO?"

Short answer? It matters. But not as much as making sure the words on your site sound like you.

SEO is like a neon sign—it can help bring people to your door. But once they’re inside, if the experience doesn’t match what they expected, they’re walking right back out.

You don’t just want traffic. You want connection. You want the right people to land on your site, recognize themselves in your message, and say, “Yes, this is who I need.”

So, let’s get this right. Let’s write words that rank and resonate. Because SEO might get people in the door, but your message makes them stay for the long term.

Hit reply, and let’s figure out how to make an imprint that lasts.

Best,

Hi Reader, my fellow language lover, Some of you have heard this rant before. Hi Reader, my fellow pumpkin spice follower, We’ve all seen the offers: Done-for-you copy. Start-from-scratch coaching. A solution for writers who are writing and need help with—you guessed it—the writing. Some folks bring me on to write their message from scratch. Others want guidance as they find their voice and...

Hi Reader, you beautiful human, slides into your inbox with a large coffee and questionable morning hair Okay, so... how I always say that writing coaching is this weird mix of strategy, cheerleading, and occasionally talking people off ledges? My writers have been absolutely crushing it lately, and I'm proud of the work we've done together. First Up: One Client Is Almost Famous Now So one of my authors has a book coming out soon (cue me doing the proud mom dance), and GET THIS – a certain...
