New Year, New Chapter (Literally)

Hi Reader,

You know how I tend to slip into stealth mode at the end of the year. It’s not that anything’s wrong — it’s December being December. I go quiet, Judi 411 powers down, and I spend a few weeks recalibrating with leftovers, reflection, and the occasional existential cookie.

But a new year has arrived, and with it comes news that deserves a drumroll:

My second book is officially being shopped around.

Yep. We’re doing the thing.

It’s called Merry-ish: Unwrapped Tales from the Most(ly) Wonderful Time of the Year, and it’s a collection of holiday stories about what the season really looks like after divorce.

Not the glossy, camera-ready version — the real-life one. The funny, tender, chaotic one. The one where everyone has feelings, and no one has matching wrapping paper.

I’ve had a few flings with hybrid publishing (we learned, we grew, we politely declined), but right now my sights are on several independent presses to see if Merry-ish can land with a team that really gets it.

Will this process take patience? Yes.

Will I bring you along for every twist, turn, and plot complication? Of course I will. That’s what we do here.

Here’s to beginnings, re-beginnings, and the sacred art of telling the truth — even when the truth is wearing reindeer slippers and trying its best.

More soon.

Always.

Best,

P.S. If this is your year to write something brave, bold, or beautifully weird, I’m your gal. Explore my copywriting and writing coaching offerings — because no one should travel the creative road alone, and I happen to make an excellent co-pilot.

Hi Reader, Maybe you thought I was being quiet. But no. We just had an operational hiccup — or as we prefer to call it over here at Judi 411 Enterprises… a plot twist. And we love us some of those. Three emails (Feb 3, 10, and 12) didn’t go out. But since we ain’t saving lives over here, this too shall pass. And instead of backtracking, we move forward — strategically. The one email I most wanted you to see was this: I’m now officially listed as a content writer with Alchemy Three Marketing...

Hi Reader, Here we are — the end of January. If 2025 was the Year of the Snake, I think I shed at least six layers: old habits, old goals, a business plan that didn’t make it past Groundhog Day. Now that the dust (and scales) have settled, what’s left is something real. Something human. I’ve spent the past year helping business owners rewrite copy that looked fine on the surface but didn’t feel like them. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s this: people don’t connect with polish. They connect...

Hi Reader, It’s been a while since I mentioned any client books… although I did hint at this one a few times last fall. And now it’s here. 🔥 See Dick Throw a Hissy Fit: The Rise and Predictable Fall of U.S. Culture is officially open for early access. Working alongside Dr. Lauran Star on this book was a true labor of love, with a message as unprecedented as the times we are living in—but with far more receipts. Disruptive doesn’t begin to cover it. Before the culture wars. Before the outrage...
