My Essay Is Being Published!

Hi Reader, We’re interrupting Deep Writing Season for a writing-related announcement! I’ve got a little publishing news that’s too good to keep to myself any longer—one of my essays has been accepted for publication in the upcoming issue of True Tales from The 90-Day Memoir! No ordinary publication, True Tales showcases the work created inside The 90-Day Memoir, a transformative writing program created by my writing teacher, the story-whisperer Alan Watt. Alan’s work has shaped mine in ways big and small, and I’ve been lucky to study with him at a few workshops, including one where I started drafting a grief memoir that’s currently (and very intentionally) on pause. Because sometimes the best way to love a story is to give it a little space. The essay came through in that pause. What’s it about? Well… you’ll just have to purchase the anthology to find out (hey, a girl’s gotta build a little suspense). What I can tell you is it’s personal, true, and the kind of vulnerable that made me sweat a little when I hit "send." And I’m so proud it found a home. I’ll keep you posted on when the book is available for purchase. But for now, I’m headed back into the writing bunker, where a few other things are percolating... How’s that for a cliffhanger?
